Are you working on challenging projects in an uncertain environment…
Where there isn’t only one right answer and solution…
And you realise that the traditional approaches are failing...
Join us for Lab Stories - a series of online meetings with practitioners of various novel systemic & participatory approaches - also known as Social Laboratories or Innovation Laboratories (Labs). In an informal conversation, we inquire deeper into the practice, ask provocative questions and seek lessons and inspiration for our own work.
In April our guest Ravenna Nuaimy-Barker from Reos Partners will offer a practical workshop focused on the importance of experimenting (prototyping). Through the cases of the Inclusive Insurance Innovation Lab and the Emergency Aid Lab we will:
Explore why we need experimentation while working on complex challenges;
Reflect on the factors that enable successful experimentation;
Discuss ideas on the application of the prototyping mindset in our contexts.
About Ravenna
Ravenna Nuaimy-Barker has extensive experience working with groups to develop and implement solutions to social and environmental challenges. Some of the projects that she has worked on are Sustainable Development Goals Lab, Scenarios for Roma Inclusion in Bulgaria, Global Fund Governance Culture Initiative.
Prior to joining Reos Partners Ravenna supported transformative multi-stakeholder initiatives to transform food systems in Canada and to transform financial and economic systems.
Ravenna brings a rigorous curiosity about how to transform systems in order to create a better future for people and the planet. She supports groups to create questions and processes that identify opportunities for impact and that lead to continuous learning and improvement. In addition to her focus on strategy, evaluation, and learning, Ravenna also brings her background in process facilitation, research, and project management to support transformation processes.
About Lab Stories
Lab Stories is part of Collaboratory where we explore the power of experimental multi-stakeholder processes and the Social Labs methodology for addressing complex (wicked) social, environmental, and business challenges.
The conversation will be in English and the timing is in Eastern European local time (EET).
At Collaboratory we apply the principles of the Sharing Economy and we invite you to pay as much as you can. When you add a little bit more, you open up the events to more people and support our mission to raise awareness of novel participatory ways of working.
